Angeles Crest 100 2026

Angeles Crest 100 2026 Crew Tracker

Type in the time your runner came through each aid station. The rest of the day gets predicted from how they're actually running, so you know when to be at the next stop. Goal optional.

Times stay on this phone through refreshes and lost signal, and the link carries them, so text it to the next car. Time of day picks the day for you. ETAs assume the planned 8 minute stop at crew stations and 3 at the others, and cutoffs are the time the runner has to leave. Before Red Box, one split can move the finish estimate by an hour, so trust the next station more than the finish.

From the race book

One crew car per runner, with the Vehicle ID pass in the window and a USFS Adventure Pass or America the Beautiful pass to park. Crews are allowed at Red Box, Shortcut Saddle, Chilao, Chantry Flats, Mt Wilson, and the finish. Clear Creek, Mt Hillyer, and Millard are drivable but off limits, and if a crew is caught somewhere it shouldn't be the runner gets held for an hour. Pacers start at Chilao 1 and can swap at Chilao 2 and Chantry Flats only. They ride in the crew car or get dropped off. No pacer cars at any aid station.

No cell service on Highway 2 and no gas. Download offline maps and fill up before you leave town. Parking is tight and traffic is fast at every station on the highway, so stay inside the white line. Chilao gets crowded because runners come through twice, 7.4 miles apart. Chantry fills up too, so park in the turnouts on the way up instead of trying to turn around in the lot. Everything after Mt Wilson is behind locked gates. Timing is done by volunteers with clipboards and ham radio, so have your runner call out their bib number in and out at every station. The official live tracking shows those check-ins when there's signal. That's the official record. This page is for figuring out when to be where.

Questions

How do I use the AC100 crew tracker?

When your runner comes through an aid station, type the time into that station's row. You get the elapsed time, an ETA for every station after it, and a predicted finish with a range. If they have a goal, put it in and you also see how far ahead or behind they are. Open it from a pace chart link and the whole plan comes along. You don't need every station. Crews usually only know the ones they were at.

How does it predict the rest of the race?

It measures how fast your runner is covering terrain-weighted miles two ways, over the whole race so far and over the last few legs, and averages them. The remaining legs are projected at that pace, keeping the plan's fade and aid station stops. In simulations of thousands of runners this roughly halved the finish error of extrapolating average pace per mile, and predicted the next station within about 5 to 12 minutes. It can't see a blow-up coming, but the last-few-legs half catches one a station or two later.

Can it predict a finish time without a goal?

Yes. The prediction only uses the times you enter. After the first one you get a predicted finish and a range. In simulations, about 9 in 10 runners finished inside that range once they were past Red Box. It is wider early on and tightens as more stations come in.

Does it work without cell service?

Yes, once it has loaded. Times are saved on the phone, so refreshing, losing signal, or reopening the tab keeps them, and the page itself stays available offline on most phones after the first visit. Load it in town before you head up Highway 2, where there is no service. The link carries the times too, so you can text it to another crew car when you have signal.

What are the AC100 cutoff times a crew needs to know?

Cutoffs are the time the runner must leave the station. Red Box 12:25 PM Saturday, Shortcut 1 5:45 PM, Chilao 1 8:10 PM, Mt Hillyer 9:40 PM, Chilao 2 11:00 PM, Shortcut 2 1:25 AM Sunday, Chantry Flats 6:20 AM, Mt Wilson 9:35 AM, Sam Merrill 11:05 AM, Millard 12:50 PM, and the finish 2:00 PM. Josephine Peak and Newcomb Saddle have no cutoff and a no-drop rule. Clear Creek's 8:30 AM cutoff is the tightest of the day.
